Use of Social Media in Marketing Library Resources and Services

چکیده
This study has investigated the use of social media in marketing library resources and services at MUHAS SUA. A mixed research approach was used to process, collect analyse data study. While some staff all users were conveniently selected, key informants purposively selected. The mainly collected through survey methods. qualitative subjected content analysis while quantitative analysed using SPSS. study’s findings suggest that Facebook is effectively platform by both studied libraries due its popularity convenience. other WhatsApp, although this noted only MUHAS. However, notwithstanding this, media’s usage market been found generally ineffective. attributed different challenges such as lack a written policy for usage, unreliable internet connectivity, low promotion, obsoleteness, inadequate computer facilities. recommends policies should be formulated, investment ICT infrastructure development made, promotion among information done.
